Each new mentor and mentee will receive a cover letter and a copy of the other person's CV. See also the notification letter.

sample letter to section heads

Dear [Language section head name],

Thank you for helping us match the pairs for the mentoring project. I finally sent the letters out today. Sorry for the delay. (I've attached a copy of the letter so you can see what we've said.)

Summary: We have 12 pairs and one threesome. There were seven more experienced people who volunteered than new people. So, please be on the lookout for new folks who want support.

The groups are as follow (experienced first/ then new supervisor, coordinator):

Joan Turner and Alicia Ramos
Jan Macian and Claudia Patricia Ossorio
Laurey Martin-Berg and Ann Mullaney
Susan Rava and Risa Sodi
Gloria Sawicki and Lara Semones
Helene Neu and Lara Lomicka
Sally Magnan and Kate Reynolds
Judith Frommer and Hassan Melehy
Jamie Rankin and Susanne Rott
Winnie Adolph and Anke Finger
Johanna Watzinger-Tharp and Carmen Taleghani-Mikazm
Tom Lovik and Suzanne Hilgendorf and Carlee Arnett
Brigitte Rossbacher and Astrid Klocke

Those who were not paired:

Ben Rifkin (Russian) and Mahdi Alosh (Arabic) because there were no LCTLs. Following Ben's suggestion, I put the Italian folks with French mentors because we had two extras.
Madeline Spring (Chinese, French)
Elvira Pirrouglia (Spanish, Italian and French)
Michael Morris (Spanish)
Vanisa Sellers (Spanish)
Rosalea Postma-Carttar (Spanish)

I have not yet contacted the folks who were not paired but will thank them for volunteering and tell them we may use them in the future.

Thanks again for your help. Thanks for any suggestions.
