From the Executive Board: Proposal to Move AAUSC to MLA

Dear AAUSC Members:

Please comment on the proposal to move the AAUSC annual meeting, consisting of the paper session, panel and business meeting, and executive committee meeting, to the annual meeting of the MLA beginning 2009 (which will actually be January 2010*).

WHY?

Please consider the following options, and let the Executive Board know your opinion! (See the who's who page for email addresses of the President.)

Option 1: sole presence at MLA (no more meetings at ACTFL)

Option 2: main presence at MLA, but also a session sponsored by AAUSC at ACTFL

Option 3: presence at MLA beginning 2009/2010 and then also explore possible presence at AAAL

*The MLA will change its meeting date to January after the December 2008 meeting; therefore, there will be no MLA in the 2009 calendar year.
