duties of the aausc secretary-treasurer


The Secretary/Treasurer records the minutes of each meeting, calls the roll when required, conducts the correspondence of AAUSC unless otherwise specified, and ensures that members are notified of general meetings and the programs planned by the Program Committee.

The Secretary/Treasurer also collects dues, holds funds deposited in his/her care, and pays them out on order of the President with the approval of the Executive Board. He/She deposits the money received as dues in an accredited bank, makes all disbursements by check, maintains proper financial records, has the books audited as specified by the Executive Board, presents a written financial report at the Annual Meeting and maintains a register of all paid members. The Secretary/Treasurer serves a term of three years and may serve a maximum of two successive terms of office.
