Professional Development / Job Opportunities [for Teachers]
Destinazione Italia: Tecnologia, metodologia e cultura per l'insegnamento dell'italiano
Dear
Colleagues,
After
the success of last year's seminar for teachers of Italian, The
American University of Rome is pleased to announce the new
seminar "Destinazione Italia: Tecnologia, Metodologia e
Cultura per l'Insegnamento dell'Italiano," to be held July 2010
in Rome.
The
two-week intensive seminar features expert US and European
instructors and focuses on the latest and best approaches to foreign
language and culture instruction and the use of the internet in
student learning.
Participants
will also be awarded 4 graduate credits from The American University
of Rome upon successful completion of the seminar.
For
more information on the seminar please refer to the attached brochure
or go to http://www.aur.edu/bringitaliantolife/index.html.
The
seminar will be held on the campus of The American University of
Rome, a US undergraduate institution operating in Rome since 1969.
AUR provides a true global and multicultural perspective and an
opportunity to broaden intellectual curiosity while building a solid
foundation for a professional future. Our classes are small and
promote active, student-centered learning. This gives our students
the opportunity to gain the best possible international education
experience, with instruction from both local and international
professors.
Our
students interact with peers from Italy and all over the world, given
the mix of Americans, local Italian students and international
students. Far from being simply a language or cultural institute, our
extensive course offerings go far beyond the broad multicultural base
of humanities and art history classes and include choices from areas
such as business, communications and digital media, international
relations and the social sciences. For additional information
on our undergraduate program go to http://www.aur.edu.
If
you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Catherine
